Hello...again!

Need something to listen to while you fall asleep? In this episode of Droolish, I ramble through NFL Week 3 power rankings, betting lines, AI, smartphones, and whatever else finds its way into my brain — all accompanied by steady rain sounds to help you relax, unwind, and hopefully fall asleep.

Droolish is a sleep and relaxation podcast for people who like having someone quietly talking in the background while trying to sleep.

In today's episode, I primarily focus my energy on continuing to pinpoint what I think are the true relative NFL power rankings / power tiers, based on where I had each team after Week 2.

I'm mostly using what I know, what I see, the eye test, and whatever data comes in to adjust the tiers relative to one another. From there, I start looking at the upcoming NFL games and scouting sportsbook lines that simply don't seem to match what I'm seeing.

So yes: sleep-inducing football analysis.

I also review my bets from last week — and my UNDERDOG PICKS WERE SPICY!** — before working through my initial and official NFL Week 3 bets.

If you'd like me to share the power rankings chart I'm using, email me at droolishpodcast@gmail.com and I'll send it over.

Later, I wander into an idea I wrote about nearly 15 years ago that was originally a joke but, looking back, maybe humanity would've been better off adopting it:

SPA — Smartphones Anonymous.

And eventually I have a conversation with AI that somehow manages to uncover a few ideas that may or may not have shifted my DNA.

Normal Droolish stuff.

About Droolish

Droolish is a sleep and relaxation podcast designed to help you fall asleep, relax, and quiet an overactive mind.

Episodes combine my naturally sleepy voice, long-form rambling and conversation, and background sounds — usually steady rain — while I talk about sports, technology, ideas, life, and whatever happens to be occupying my brain.

If meditation isn't really your thing and you'd rather fall asleep listening to someone talk about something mildly interesting, this might be for you.

I also categorize Droolish as ASMR-adjacent because the purpose of my voice and the background sounds is to create a calming environment for relaxation, insomnia, and sleep.

<itunes:subtitle>In this episode, I make my return and share some quick thoughts on comedian Mark Normand. I then dive into a conversation with AI, exploring its insights and quirks. We also discuss an interesting topic—how to stop AI from getting "pissed off" and what that really means in the grand scheme of things. Finally, I wrap things up with some closing remarks.</itunes:subtitle>

It's tough to start talking from a place of nothingness, since that's what it feels like coming back from another hiatus. Maybe it's a mindset thing. But Mark Normand and AI really have inspired me to actually get back on the horse. I do find AI to be the most intersting thing at the moment, and has been for a bit. It's almost the greatest thing since the internet before it became an extention of the outragousness of IRL.

And on the off-chance Mark actually see's this; I'm serious, this may help ya sleep. Maybe not this episode exactly, but it's been known to help.

About Droolish: Droolish is a sleep and relaxation podcast, often best consumed to slaughter mind-chatter and curb your insomnia. Take a look at the episode list if you have a chance, if something sounds interesting or useful, listen to that first (IMO). My voice is yawn-inducing (apparently to some), so I decided to create a podcast dedicated to helping those with sleeping problems fall asleep. Subjects vary based on what's on my mind, but I hope to be engaging enough to keep initial interest while the background sounds and my voice assist you to sleep.

*Note: I'm qualifying this as AMSR due to my goal of wanting to use sounds and my voice to help calm insomnia and to help you relax and go to sleep. *
