  • 30 months of self Slack notes reviewed to help you fall asleep (💤 + 🌧️)

    May 24th, 2020  |  1 hr 2 mins
    advice, insomnia, popular, random, sleep

I'll be honest. This episode is a bit rough, my voice gave out and the most value for this episode will be strictly from my yawn-inducing voice. About halfway through I get back in my flow, but not much more. In the words of Tony Kornheiser, "we'll try and do better the next time". Please remember: Droolish is a sleep and relaxation podcast, focused on varied subjects with the goal to help remove insomnia, improve relaxation, and help you go to sleep.

  • Notecards Revisited (P1): Ideas, Notes, Quotes & Tips w/ Sleep Inducing Voice (💤 + 🌧️)

    May 20th, 2020  |  1 hr 21 mins
    advice, insomnia, popular, random, sleep

I don't have an official title for this mini-series. One year ago I wrote 200+ notecards on various notes, theories, ideas, tips, and advice as self reminders and reflection. I haven't reviewed them until today. This is a stream-of-consciousness mini-series so while you may find a brain nugget listening, this episode (especially for 1st time listeners) is likely best suited as a way to fall asleep to my yawn-inducing voice while blocking out mind-chatter. Please remember: Droolish is a sleep and relaxation podcast, focused on varied subjects with the goal to help remove insomnia, improve relaxation, and help you go to sleep.

  • Removing Distraction (hack?) Via Writing To Fix Sleep Issues & Mind Racing #gamechanger (💤 + 🌧️)

    May 17th, 2020  |  1 hr 2 mins
    distraction, insomnia, popular, sleep, writing

Time will tell the impact of this episode for those with sleep issues, constant mind chatter, and insomniacs alike. I rarely take a stab at OG content, but by swapping my default distraction to a mind-reel (thoughts) has brought a new level of focus and understanding with how I sleep. Please remember: Droolish is a sleep and relaxation podcast, focused on varied subjects (around my sleepy voice) with the goal to help remove insomnia, improve relaxation, and help you sleep.

  • Sage Advice To Young Adults From Other Adults in Their 40s (🎵+ 💤 + 🌧️)

    May 13th, 2020  |  1 hr 6 mins
    advice, insomnia, popular, reddit, sleep

Drink water. If I had one piece of advice to offer, it's that. I wanted to share a piece of creative content that pays a tribute to one of my favorite songs ever (Baz Luhrmann - Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen). Aside from that, I review advice from a pretty dope Reddit thread that offers advice to those in their 20s from those in their 40s and offers my own. Please remember: Droolish is a sleep and relaxation podcast, focused on varied subjects with the goal to help remove insomnia, improve relaxation, and help you go to sleep.

  • Strikingly Profound Lofi Hip-hop Youtube Comments w/ Lofi Chill Beats ( 💤 + 🌧️)

    May 10th, 2020  |  1 hr 5 mins
insomnia, lo-fi hip hop, popular, relaxation, youtube

"i hate the feeling." "why won't it make sense?" "can't sleep and can't help but wonder why." What do all these quotes have in common? Well, lofi hip-hop that's what. I'm old (well 34) and I was once a teen half a life ago and nothing makes me feel more serene than reading lofi hip-hop youtube comments. I like to think of them as a vessel to the past (or future) of wisdom that we all could be reminded of once in a while. This episode includes lofi-music in the 1st half.

  • Time To Awaken The Third Eye: Improve Sleep, Focus, Reduce Mind Chatter (Binaural Beats + 💤 + 🌧️)

    May 6th, 2020  |  1 hr 13 mins
    insomnia, meditation, popular, relaxation, self-actualization

In my quest to perfect the art of sleep, I stumble upon an amazing way that has helped bring absolute clarity and focus (albeit temporary). The episode discusses the science behind the third eye (aka pineal gland), how to decalcify the gland, and to activate your third eye. Binaural beats (explained in the episode) and rain sounds are used to enhance relaxation, focus, and reduce mind clutter.

  • 10 Tips On How to Generate Ideas For Podcasts, Content, and Business - Part 2 ( 💤 + 🌧️)

    April 22nd, 2020  |  58 mins 36 secs
    amsr, business, ideas, insomnia, popular

(Part 2) I'm kind of decent at generating ideas. Hell, ideation and idea-crafting are engrained in my veins. I can't vouch that they are good nor bad, but the exercise of idea generation can help you define our podcast (or come up with ideas for podcast episodes), content (video/written/blog) and in business (consulting, or solving literally anything no one else is willing to do). Remember, this is a sleep and relaxation podcast: This is best suited for anyone that has insomnia, needs sleep, or just wants to get their mind off their day.

  • 10 Savy (debatable) Idea Generation Tips For Podcasts, Content, and Business - Part 1( 💤 + 🌧️)

    April 15th, 2020  |  1 hr 10 mins
    amsr, business, ideas, insomnia, popular

(Part 1) I'm kind of decent at generating ideas. Hell, ideation and idea-crafting are engrained in my veins. I can't vouch that they are good nor bad, but the exercise of idea generation can help you define our podcast (or come up with ideas for podcast episodes), content (video/written/blog) and in business (consulting, solving literally anything no one else is willing to do). • 200+ Positive Affirmations Spoken To First Names on Twitter ( 💤 + 🌧️)

    April 8th, 2020  |  1 hr 11 mins
amsr, insomnia, popular, self improvement, sleep

I wanted to spend 40+ minutes saying affirmations to random names on Twitter (first names). Lots of these people had insomnia issues so I figure why not? I will probably start @ people when they talk about insomnia on Twitter for this episode. Did I say your name? 100% of statisticians say it's a 50% chance that five of you will hear your name according to my (ill-informed) logic. Remember, this is a sleep and relaxation podcast: This is best suited for anyone that has insomnia, needs sleep, or just wants to get their mind off their day.

  • Home Depot Battle Royale - Pick 3 Weapons (Thought Experiment 💤 + 🌧️)

    April 1st, 2020  |  1 hr 14 mins
brain food, home depot, popular, sleep, thought experiments

You vs 9 others in Home Depot - Battle Royale style. You are allowed to choose 3 pieces of equipment to aid you. What three weapons would you choose, and what would be your strategy? I review my strategy and review the greatest thread I've ever read online. Obv this is a hypothetical and a very interesting one at that. Remember, this is a sleep and relaxation podcast: This is best suited for anyone that has insomnia, needs sleep, or just wants to get their mind off their day.

  • 100 Startup Ideas To Steal and Profit - Part 9 [💤 + rain sounds]

    March 25th, 2020  |  1 hr 11 mins
    ideas, new, popular, sleep, startup

In Part 9 of my 'steal my idea' series, I share three additional apps and business ideas for people to take, use, and turn into reality (and profit...maybe lol). This is an ongoing series so please subscribe if this piques your interest. Remember, this is a sleep and relaxation podcast: This is best suited for anyone that has insomnia, needs sleep, or just wants to get their mind off their day. However, it might be a great way to dream up ideas listening.

  • Coronavirus AKA: COVID-19 💤 + 🌧️

    March 18th, 2020  |  56 mins 13 secs
    coronavirus, health, insomnia, popular, sleep

A lot of people have an opinion regarding coronavirus, I have a message.

  • 90-Minute Stream of Consciousness Perfect For Running Minds & Insomniacs (maybe) 💤 + 🌧️

    March 11th, 2020  |  1 hr 32 mins
    calm, insomnia, popular, relaxation, sleep

Insomnia sucks but the way I talk tends to put people to sleep and induce yawns. I'm going old school with a stream-of-consciousness episode where I talk about the podcast and where it's headed, sleeping tips, removing distractions, and vocalizing the ridiculousness of how many damn apps I have on my (and likely our) phones. It's time we step up, action up, and make our days worthwhile. Remember, this is a sleep and relaxation podcast: This is best suited for anyone that has insomnia, needs sleep, or just wants to get their mind off their day.

  • Hacks to Improve Productivity [Blitz Sessions] and Eliminate Dead Time (bigly) [💤 + 🌧️]

    March 8th, 2020  |  1 hr 11 mins
    entrepruerership, insomnia, popular, productivity, sleep

If there is one episode that might help alleviate your insomnia and create balance in your awake time, this is it IMO. I explain (my version) of "Dead Time" and how impactful it's been in my day-to-day productivity. Dead time is everywhere and the best we can do is find it, and make it WORK FOR US! I hope this helps you as I explain the concept of "Blitz Sessions" as a way to gamify free-time to visually see and feel accomplishments. Remember, this is a sleep and relaxation podcast: This is best suited for anyone that has insomnia, needs sleep, or just wants to get their mind off their day.

  • XFL Trends, Attendance, Pros/Cons, Jobs & Predictions [thoughts +💤 + 🌧️]

    March 5th, 2020  |  1 hr 20 mins
    insomnia, popular, sleep, sports, xfl

I've held my tongue for too long in discussing the XFL! It's time to dive into what I believe to be a long-lasting league that won't go away anytime soon. Or will it? Let's get nerdy and talk about the XFL trends, what I'm seeing as a football casual, XFL ratings and attendance, pros/cons of the XFL, XFL league predictions, and how to land a gig working with the XFL (kind of). Remember, this is a sleep and relaxation podcast: This is best suited for anyone that has insomnia, needs sleep, or just wants to get their mind off their day.

  • Useful Tips For Lucid Dreaming That Improve Sleep Quality (probably [💤 + 🌧️])

    March 1st, 2020  |  1 hr 15 mins
    amsr, dreams, insomnia, popular, sleep

Lucid dreaming is the act of controlling your dreams (along with remembering them). I dive (semi) deep into the internet to help myself (and you) to explain how to lucid dream and the importance of mastering it. I won't lie, it's a deep subject and I've barely scratched the surface. IMO, the ability to dream and control dreams is HUGE in improving sleep quality...all while falling asleep to my yawn-inducing voice. Remember, this is a sleep and relaxation podcast: This is best suited for anyone that has insomnia, needs sleep, or just wants to get their mind off their day.
